The Institute of Internal Auditors is recognised as the worldwide leader, authority, and principal educator for internal auditing professionals. Earning an IIA certification symbolises more competency, commitment to and achievement in the internal auditing profession.

The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is the only globally accepted certification for internal auditors and remains the standard by which individuals demonstrate their competency and professionalism in the internal auditing field. Candidates leave the program enriched with educational experience, information, and business tools that can be applied immediately in any organization or business environment.

How to register?

Registration for the new 3-part CIA (English only) will be open as from May 22. Appointments will be available starting July 1 through the IIA’s computer-based testing partner, Pearson VUE.

Preparation CIA exam

The CIA Learning System kit is available at IIA Belgium. Please note that IIA Belgium only sells full CIA Learning system kits and no individual parts.

The CIA Learning system kit is available in English and French.

In July 2013, The IIA will begin testing the new 3-part CIA exam. A new version of The IIA's CIA Learning System (version 4.0) is now available to provide comprehensive and up-to-date preparation for the 3-part exam. For those who purchase version 3.1 (English) of The IIA's CIA Learning System (4-part exam preparation) but are not able to complete their CIA exam before December 2013, The IIA has created the Learning System's Upgrade Guarantee. To upgrade to the new 3-part materials, you can log into the resource center within your online software (a link to it is found in the upper right corner of the screen when logged in) and click on the “Updates” tab. There is a form you can fill out to request to upgrade to the new materials. You will have access for same amount of time you have remaining on your 4-part materials.
