The Institute of Fraud Auditors, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Belgium and the Institute of Internal Auditors Belgium have the pleasure to inform you that they are jointly organizing a full-day event on 19 November 2019 during the International Fraud Awareness Week. This event will take place at the Enabel Conference Center, Rue Haute 139, 1000 Brussels.
While heading to 2020, the time has come to look back on the most interesting fraud cases of the past 10 years. Understanding the past, is the most valuable approach to prevent history from repeating itself. During the current decade, we have been confronted with numerous and very diverse fraud cases such as the Fipronil case, Diesel gate, match fixing and money-laundering in the Belgian Football, recent cyber-attacks resulting in economic shutdowns of companies.
Although there is a never-ending stream of information on those cases in the media, the real truth seems to be only available for the inner circle of insiders. This event gathers those key players willing to share their insights with you. Through to their different roles, they will approach the case from different angles: as a victim, internal investigator, prosecutor, perpetrator, external investigator, lawyer, internal auditor, …
The event will be moderated by Francesca Vanthielen, journalist at Kanaal Z - Canal Z.
